Hartismere :: 1950s

Mr Derek Ellis identified some of these photographs as being from June 1956. The gentlemen in the middle with the check tie is the then Headmaster, Mr Witham, who lived in Eye itself. Mr Randall, Deputy Head, sits four seats to the right and was also the Woodwork master. The boys to the front were house captains as were the girls to the front. The houses were red, blue, green and yellow. Mr Grifiths, Geography master, sits next to Mr Randall.
